In Memoriam: The Rainbow Bridge

When we rescue an animal, it becomes a forever part of the Buster’s Barn family.

We’ll always remember the following furbabies that have left this world:

Martina

01.12.22

Martina was rescued from a high kill shelter on her last day. She had been abandoned there by her humans, because as they put it “she is too old and can’t walk.” She walked into our home, our lives and around the yard with all the life a dog could have. She lived with us a year before we finally had to say goodbye to her.

Her body gave up on her, but her heart never did. Martina was a senior who got a second chance, and we remember her dearly.

Iris

02.12.22

Iris was on death row at Camarillo shelter, in medical for a mass behind her eye. We removed her eye and the mass, but just within a couple months, the mass grew back, was indeed cancer, and we ended her suffering before it lowered her quality of life.

She was loved by many and cherished by the very vet who tried to save her. We will forever remember lil’ Iris.

Einstein

03.12.24

Einstein was being raised for slaughter by a restaurant owner, and just before he was going to lose his life painfully, we stepped in and took him into our sanctuary! He was a big boy, and was saved along with Ginger, who was pregnant at the time we saved both!

Einstein was a gentle giant, a beautiful soul, and absolutely perfect! Handsome as can be, we adored him every day!

Floki Pierre

2.25.26

Our beloved Floki Pierre was found in Palmdale by some Good Samaritans who called us to take him in. Always so funny and friendly, Floki Pierre was one of our most loved goats.

After over 11 years at the Barn, we unfortunately had to put him down, but he will forever live on in our hearts.
